A few months ago, I had gone to a whiskey festival in my hometown. They had different whiskeys for you to try with several types of mixers. One of the brands my friends and I fell in love with was the Jim Beam Maple. It is so sweet and literally tastes like syrup. I knew I had to get it for myself and make some sort of concoction with it. I had to throw in bacon with the pancakes because who doesn’t like bacon?! As Ron Swanson once said “You may have heard me say I wanted a lot of bacon and eggs; but what I said was: give me all the bacon and eggs you have.”
This is what you’ll need to make this delicious breakfast:
- 2 Cups of Pancake Mix
- 1/4 Cup of Honey
- 1 Shot of Jim Beam Maple
- 1 Cup of Water
Make sure the stove top is on medium heat and you have a greased skillet. You can make the bacon however you would like and have as much as you want of it. There’s really no limit there! For the pancake batter, pour the powder into the bowl along with the honey, and water. Using an electric mixer, mix these ingredients together. Then add in the whiskey and mix it in.
Once this is done, pour some of the batter onto the skillet. Pour as needed to the size of the pancake you would like to have and watch the batter to see when it is bubbling then you know it is ready to turn over and cook the other side of the pancake.
Then they are ready to serve. Grab some syrup, bacon and you’re all set for this savory breakfast. I’ll now leave you with the wise words of one of my favorite artists, Luke Bryan “Whiskey makes my baby frisky.” Enjoy!
