You're As Sweet As Pie

Peanut Butter & Jelly French Toast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I decided to create a recipe to make myself and you actually want to eat tin the morning. It is always a challenge for myself to wake up and even get going to start the day since I am more of a night person. Although I do love brunch and my mimosas! The combination of both french toast and my favorite kind of sandwich is quite delicious.

What do you prefer for breakfast or brunch? Bloody Marys or Mimosas? Eggs or French Toast? xx

  • 2 Slices of Bread
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TSP of Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • 2 TBSPS of Butter
  • 1/4 TSP of Salt
  • 1 TBSP of Olive Oil
  • 1 TSP of Cinnamon
  • 1 TBSP of Jelly
  • Peanut Butter
  • Maple Syrup
  • 1 Frying Pan

I made this for myself as one serving. If you plan on making more, just add an extra egg and bread then you should be good to go. Make sure the pan is on medium high on the stovetop and add the olive oil and butter to it. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, milk, salt, and cinnamon.

On one slice of bread, spread the jam and then the peanut butter on the other slice. Stack both pieces together like a sandwich and put in batter on both sides. Then place the toast on the pan and flip once each side is cooked.

Place the toast on your plate, add some extra jam, syrup and it is ready to serve!
