“You gotta hank it, you can’t sip whiskey you gotta drank it” … well in this case, you gotta bake the whiskey into these brownies, obviously! You’re probably wondering what the quote is from and it is lyrics to a Justin Moore song called Hank It. Since he is one of my favorite country singers, I decided to contribute something by him into this post because I can. I love his music, what he stands for and basically just everything about him! With that being said, I decided to bake a sweet treat that will quench your thirst of alcohol and sugar craving. Hope you enjoy these brownies filled with whiskey as much as I did!
2 1/3 Cups of Flour
3/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cup of Replacement Sugar (I used Swerve)
Salt to Taste
2 TSPs of Baking Powder
1 TSP of Vanilla Extract
1/4 Cup of Whiskey (Your choice of whiskey. I used Crown)
3/4 Cup of Unsalted Butter
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 350 and grease an 8 x 8 baking pan. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, sugar replacement, salt, and baking powder. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, butter, and vanilla. Add in the dry ingredients and pour whiskey on top of batter. Beat the batter with an electric mixer until smooth. Put the chocolate chips in batter and mx in with a spoon. Pour onto the pan and bake for around 35 minutes. Let them cool and they are ready to serve!
