You're As Sweet As Pie

Chocolate Buttermilk Cookies

Hope you all are having a great evening and start to your week. I decided to bake something sweet while I was watching Monday Night Football. You probably think I’m crazy since I won’t stop baking treats with pumpkin in the ingredients but to be fair it is fall soo that’s my excuse!

I have these pumpkin morsels that I don’t want to waste so this was the perfect recipe for them. I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as I did. Let me know what you think of them. If you don’t like pumpkin, then just replace the pumpkin morsels with chocolate chips to make these cookies extra chocolately.

What you’ll need:

1 1/2 Cups of Flour

1 1/2 Cups of Sugar

3 TSPS of Baking Powder

Salt to taste

Nutmeg to taste

1/3 Cup of cocoa powder

1/2 Cup of Unsalted Butter

1 tsp of maple syrup

2/3 Cups of buttermilk

Mix together the dry ingredients which consists of the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cocoa powder. Then with an electric beater, mix the butter, syrup and buttermilk. Add in the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and combine until the batter is smooth. Add in a handful of the morsels to mix in. Then scoop up the batter and place onto a greased pan.

Preheat the oven to 350 and bake for around 14-16 minutes. Let them cool and they are ready to serve!
