A Florida Tradition: Strawberry Festival

Goood Morning!! Hope you all are having a great start to your Tuesday! I wanted to share with you a little tradition here in Florida that’s been happening for 80 years now which happens to be the Florida Strawberry Festival. The festival lasts for around two weeks usually at the end of February until the beginning of March. It consists of food aka basically anything and everything fried, strawberries everywhere since it is the season (the whole point of the festival) concerts, rides and more.

I think it’s a great time and it’s always interesting to see who turns out at the festival each year. The headliners for the concerts keep getting better and better each year too. I’ve been attending the past few years to see some good performances and really sweet tea 😉

The several times I’ve attended, I have gotten to see the lovely Luke Bryan, Justin Moore (my favoriteeee artist ever from Poyen, Arkansas), Blake Shelton, Josh Turner—amazing live!! and just this weekend, Parmalee and WAIT FOR IT….REBA! I was pretty stoked when I heard Reba was coming to good ole Plant City, I can’t lie. I watched her on tv growing up so it was pretty awesome to see her in person.

Here are some highlights from this weekend with one of my friends. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I took them with my phone because I didn’t want my really nice expensive camera to get ruined out at a festival frolicking around in boots!! But if you get the chance to go, it’s definitely an experience and you can try some amazing strawberry shortcake and get some fresh strawberries to take home!

Did I mention that we ended up getting FREE TICKETS FOR REBA?! Yea, that happened.
