You're As Sweet As Pie

Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love baking and came up with this little recipe over the weekend. It’s pretty simple and a little healthier of an alternative to regular cookies. They’re not too sweet since they’re not supposed to be…hence the healthy part of it! 

What you’ll need: 

  • 1 Tablespoon of Flaxseeds
  • 1/4 Cup of Earth Balance Butter
  • 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 TSP Vanilla
  • 1 TSP Baking Soda
  • 1/2 TSP Baking Powder 
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1 Cup of Oats ( blended for oat flour) 
  • 1 TSP of Cocoa Powder
  • Chocolate Chips 
  • 1 Egg

Mix together the dry ingredients then add in the wet ingredients. With an electric beater, whip up the batter then with a spoon, mix in the chocolate chips. Then with an ice cream scooper, scoop spoonfuls of the batter onto the pan. 

Bake the cookies at 350 in the oven for around 8 minutes. Let them cool and they’re ready to serve!
