Homemade Chicken & Waffles

What better way to start your Sunday with chicken and waffles?! These are semi homemade and pretty simple to make if you ask me. I love c & w so I wanted to make it for myself instead of going out somewhere for it.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 piece of boneless chicken breast (I used vegetarian fed with no chemicals, etc added to it)
  • Syrup
  • Honey
  • Waffles
  • Butter (I used earth balance)
  • Flour
  • Olive Oil

Slice in half the piece of chicken and cover both pieces with flour. Should be good with a handful of flour for cooking them. Have a skillet ready on medium heat with cooking spray on it along with a dash of olive oil. Cook each piece of chicken until white in the middle.

For the waffles, I used vans brand from the grocery store & just put a couple in the toaster. I love their brand and especially their waffles!

Once the chicken is cooked, place on top of the waffles and top it with some syrup and honey. I like using Log Cabin for my syrup since it’s a tad bit healthier. The honey I used was from the Savannah Bee Company in Charleston and Savannah. I hope you enjoy this little entree as much as I did!!

Have a blessed Sunday!
