I recently came upon this great smoothie recipe from a blogger I just discovered, Alexandra Jamieson. Her recipes and uplifting posts are some of my favorite ways to start the day. I actually had gum surgery the other day so I am on a smoothie, acai bowl, chia pudding high since I can’t really eat much for awhile. I made this smoothie the other day and it was quite delicious so I had to share it with you all!
Here is what you’ll need:
12 ounces unsweetened almond or coconut milk
½ cup water
1 cup cooked sweet potato (peeled)
2-3 pitted Medjool dates (the big juicy ones) cut in half
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp fresh nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in the blender.
Blend it and then enjoy!
