It’s halfway through the week and you’re looking for that easy breakfast recipe to get you ready for the weekend ahead. Well look no further because I’ve found one. This yummy pancake recipe is from Miss Kay’s cookbook from Duck Dynasty.
I love her and the show and these were worth it. I also added chocolate chips to them. Can never go wrong with chocolate! Here’s what you’ll need.
- 1 1/4 cups of flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons of melted butter or fat or vegetable oil for the griddle
- Cooking spray for griddle
- Softened butter for serving
In a large bowl, sift the dry ingredients together which includes the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Then in a different bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter. Once the batter is done, mix in both wet and dry ingredients.
Set griddle to 350 or heat skillet to medium heat. Lightly grease the griddle. Pour batter onto the griddle and cook until each side bubbles and is golden. Then it is ready to serve. Enjoy!
