You're As Sweet As Pie

Holiday Recipes

Tis the season to be jolly and full of sweets! I love baking and I recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with Genie from Bunny Eats Design on a roundup of holiday recipes which some are just for fun as well. Here are quite a few of them listed below. Enjoy!

Pfeffernüsse – German Christmas Cookies

These bite sized gingerbread biscuits are light and comparatively airy, but still deliver buckets of spice flavours traditionally associated with Christmas. The best part is you don’t need to be a master baker to make them.

Lemon Custard Cakes with Herbs de Provence Glaze

Herbs de Provence is a classic French blend typically consisting of oregano, thyme, rosemary, marjoram and lavender. The mix of several savory herbs and the unique taste of lavender is a real winner.

Garam Masala Spiced and Iced Lemon Bread

This sweet-spicy quick bread with a glossy, melt-in-your-mouth icing is my new favorite flavor blend. I think I may have eaten half the loaf already. But, if you find this isn’t the mix for you, I’ve included a few variations below the main recipe. Make it sweeter, make it spicier, make it chunkier. Make it all three! Actually, that doesn’t make sense… Well, whatever! Make it your own!
