Southern State of Mind

Country Music Festivals

Hi hi! If you all didn’t know already, I love me some country music. This past weekend, I got to attend the Runaway Country Music Festival and it was awesome. It was also my first time attending the festival in Kissimmee.

You always see how everyone attends Coachella, Bonaroo, Burning Man…the list goes on. But all I can say is I would rather go to a country concert any day of the week. They are so much fun with the people, atmosphere, tailgates and the artists of course!

Don’t get me wrong, I still like some alternative but I prefer my country over it some days. The festival had lots of activities to keep yourself active since you’re basically there all day from drinks (I even got a pineapple juice bevvie), bar areas, food and even a Ferris wheel. It was also pretty neat since the festival lasts three days, people do camp out and stay all weekend which looks like a lot of fun.

They also didn’t just only have one artist perform, there were multiple artists and  it was worth your money. I only got to go for one day but I was lucky enough to see Neal McCoy, Chris Janson and wait for it…Eric Church! It was also my second time seeing Eric perform and he was still amazing. He’s been one of my favorite artists for a good while now too.

Here are some snaps from the festival. If you’re in the central Florida area, you should go to the festival. I know I’ll be back. My friend and I are already talking about camping out and renting an RV for next year!
