Southern State of Mind

Easter Down South

Good afternoon my loves! If you’ve been following me on the socials then you know I traveled to south Florida for Easter. I had a great time seeing family and spending quality time with them.

I enjoyed lots of Cuban coffee, Cuban food and treats. I didn’t have the dairy that was literally laid out in front of me but I did snack on some kind bars and fruit for myself. Although, I still somehow managed to get a sugar high from things without dairy but lots of sugar on Easter…haha.

If you’re ever in the area, you should totally stop by Vicky Bakery in Pembroke Pines. My wonderful Uncle owns that little shop with some yummy treats. We stopped by for some coffee and food before we hit the road on Easter. We were able to snack on croquetas, coffee, guava and more. Worth the calories 😉

Over the weekend, I also had a pretty good picadillo wrap from Harvest Moon in Miami Springs and pretty good smoothie with honey, banana and coconut milk. Such a tasty and filling lunch if you ask me.

This trip was too short and hopefully we’ll be back soon to see family we didn’t get to spend too much time with. Let me know your recommendations for south Florida and what you ended up doing over the holiday weekend. Have a great day!

“He is not here; For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:6
