You're As Sweet As Pie

Explore Where You Live

Hi there foodie lovers of all kinds! I have a treat for you today. I recently explored a couple of new local places and wanted to share my experience with you all. They were both awesome and I can’t wait to go back and have different items to try.

As you know, I live in the Tampa Bay Area. With it being a growing city, there are many new restaurants and bars opening up on each corner. My friend and I decided to grab a bite and cocktails last weekend in Saint Pete.

We started at The Reading Room and ended our night at Room 901. Both pretty neat places and unique ambiances. Reading a Room has a wide menu offering a variety of unique menu items. From chicken liver mousse to quail to pasta along with fun and tasty cocktails. My drink had lavender in it and it was amazing and right amount of sweetness all around.

Our food for the evening consisted of chicken liver mousse, pasta, brown butter cake, cocktails and an appetizer that was similar to crab Rangoon but wasn’t. I can’t even remember but it was so yummy!

Room 901 I had only cocktails at. Mine was a tasty gin cocktail and it was pink. So obviously it was quite fitting for me ;)The bar was pretty cool. It had unique furniture almost vintage looking along with books everywhere. I thought I was in Belle’s Castle for a minute when I was there. Obviously had to throw in my favorite Disney princess! If you’re looking for a more laidback place where you can actually hold a conversation with someone then this is perfect for you.I hope you all have a wonderful day and if you ever check out either of these spots, let me know. Would love to hear your thoughts xx
