Relaxation Tips & Tricks

Hello there. Now that we’re all on our weekend, I figured I would share some of my tips and tricks on relaxing. Especially since I’ve been doing mostly that all week!

I know during the work days it can be tough to do so but maybe this will help for every day. I am trying to get into a better daily routine on staying calm, having more me time and not stressing about so much especially things I can not control.

I am sure all of you can relate in some sort of way. Let’s begin…

One way I like to wind down is by taking a relaxing bath with salts, bubbles and some classical musical or sometimes a podcast.

Taking a long walk with my pup or by yourself if you don’t have a pet. Always nice to get out of the house and get fresh air.

Massage, this always helps me. Takes you out of the real world for a bit and you can even fall asleep for a bit too!

I know it’s not the best but I like to lay by the pool and get some vitamin D. Of course, I put sunscreen on too and bring a book to read and some headphones. I can barely see my phone in the sun so I stay away from social media, work related things etc. If ya get my drift.

Binge-watching a show. This actually takes my mind away from anything going on around me. You go into another world and get so enthralled by entertainment for few hours or however long you decide to watch tv for. I recently did this with Father Brown. Now I’m about to start the book. My aunt got me into the show and I am seriously hooked! Sooo good!!

Baking and cooking is always another relaxing way for me to escape everything. Now I know this isn’t for everyone but it is something for me. I shut my phone off, put some music on and just knock out few recipes for day or week. Then I don’t have to worry about few meals for few days.

Reading is an obvious one. I’ve actually been into audiobooks lately since I haven’t had too much time to sit and read but I’m starting to get back into swing of old school reading and audio. Audio is nice for my commute to and from work since it’s about 40m each way. Sounds miserable but it’s not too bad with a good read 😉

Would love to hear from you and some of your tips on relaxing. I’m always open to new suggestions. As I finish writing this, I hope you have a relaxing weekend and day!!
