Hellooo there. If you know me then you know my love of pizza or really obsession with it. Recently, I found out I can no longer have wheat, gluten, dairy, rice, list goes on soo that’s been fun to deal with! Aka no pizza or it’s been hard to find an alternative since many gluten free options are made with rice flour. In this case, I decided to make my own concoction of something I can actually eat. And that was a pizza burger! I decided to get creative here with the pizza.
It is also pretty easy to make hence why I am writing this post for you all. I thought it was good and I loved how it even fell apart when you ate it. Plus, you can’t go wrong with even more meat on top of pizza or even wrapped in it. And if you have any suggestions on what I should make next, let me know. Always open to it!
What you’ll need for the crust:
2 cups of almond flour
2 tbsps of ghee
1 tbsp of coconut oil
Dash of cayenne
Dash of chipotle powder
1/2 cup of egg whites
Mix these ingredients in a bowl into thickened then pour into an 8 or 9 round pan.
For the toppings:
Daiya cheese (which is dairy free vegan cheese)
Bake in oven at 350 for around 15 to 20 minutes or until golden and baked.
For the burger(s):
1 pound or half pound of grass fed beef
Tony’s spicy Cajun seasoning
Round up the beef with some of the seasoning and then wrap the bacon around the beef. Once this is done, make sure the pan is greased with cooking spray (I use avocado oil) which is a healthier choice versus vegetable oil for many reasons. Bake the burgers in the oven at 350 for around 20 to 25 minutes.
Once both pizza and burger are a little cooler from cooking, out the burger on top of the pizza and you can eat it as is or wrap it up or separately. Literally whatever your heart desires! I thought it was quite tasty and satisfied my pizza craving. I can’t wait to make it again! Have a great day xx
