Hello and here’s to a fresh new week ahead of us. I hope you all enjoy it and have a great one ahead of you! I am glad football kicks off this week well pre-season at least and I get to go to a girls night at Dry Bar with a couple of friends so that should be fun. I am hoping to get their flat iron since I really need a new one and it worked wonders when I was in Ohio. Have you tried it out? So good if you haven’t!
Okay soo I wanted to recap my little trip to Ohio for work. So a little play a little work ha. I wish we had more time to explore Cleveland because it was actually pretty cool once we saw more of it towards the end of our trip. It was very industrial and hipster.
From coffee shops to unique restaurants, it was an interesting spread of spots to check out along with the nightlife too. We stayed at the Hilton downtown and ate there for the first night which wasn’t too bad for hotel food. Some gluten free bbq pork nachos so those were tasty!
That night, we decided to go to Punchbowl Social for drinks and that was a super cool vibe and spot to be at. They had actual games to play like shuffleboard, bowling, jenga to darts and more. It was so cool and a lot of fun! There was a rooftop bar that we hangout at as well. The weather was cooler out for summer which was nice and not even much humidity so my hair actually looked decent haha.
The next stop was a piano bar (The Bing Bang Dueling Piano Bar) and it was such a great and fun time. We sang along to pretty much all of the songs from Queen to Alabama and more. I recommend going if you are in the area.
For breakfast, I checked out this cute juice bar, Daily Press Juice. Lately since I cut coffee out for a bit, I have been on a matcha kick. So I got an iced matcha latte along with a super sweet and tasty smoothie bowl. Although, I have had coffee twice since I cut it out for a month or so. I am seeing how I react to it and all that jazz that I won’t bore you with! Anywho, the bowl was tasty with bananas, strawberries, granola and cacao nibs and more. The matcha was smooth and yummy too.
Later that evening, we went to dinner at Luxe. I am in loveee with this place from the decor to the service to the food. I had the chipotle ale marinated pork tenderloin with just mashed carrots and I had leftovers since it was a decent size too of food. So I def munched on some of it back in the hotel room that night to say the least! Oh and I had a lavender cocktail with Tito’s and I wish I could just make it myself all the time it was that good.
On our last day besides some work getting done, we walked around downtown, saw some cool landmarks, scenery and a neat coffee shop called Rebol before dinner at a Lebanese restaurant. Rebol had tasty GF, DF treats along with a paleo smoothie my sister and I shared. If we had time to go back there, we would’ve to try more of their menu items.
That pretty much sums up our trip! I left out work details because that’s no fun to read about ha. I hope you have an awesome week xx
