Ohhh Hiiii. It is almost the weekend and I can not wait till I can relax and not be stuck in an office. Going to Orlando Saturday and I have my friend’s wedding Friday night which should be fun. Just can’t believe this month is almost over. It is flying by too quickly.
Recently, my mom and I went to a new restaurant here in Tampa, Mole y Abuela’s soft opening and it was worth it. It was busy but good that they were. Mole y Abuela is a Spanish based restaurant and mostly tapas style meals.
We ordered a mix of food from croquettas to cocktails (I got the Tampa replenish and my mom got the rose sangria), which I loved the Tampa Replenish super light refreshing and just tasty in general, gambas al ajillo (Garlic Shrimp, Chorizo, Preserved Lemon, Shishito Peppers), pollo al pastor (Roasted Pineapple, Tajin, Pickled Onions, Garlic Creme), chili chocolate cake and tres leches. We clearly just went all out just for dinner to try a little bit of everything.
It was all very delicious though and worth trying. I also had leftovers so had it for lunch the next day. Can never go wrong with leftovers..am I right?! Mole y Abuela is located where Flybar used to be downtown Tampa since Flybar moved to Channelside. Now that they are fully open, you can go check them out for yourselves and see what you think. Crazy that they are walking distance from me too so now I can go whenever I want ha.
Here are some snaps of our meal. Enjoy! xx
