Happy Sunday and almost August! It’s crazy how fast this year is flying by. I probably say that every other post but seriously it does need to slow down. I mean it’s going to be Fall before we know it. Which I won’t complain about because football will be back soo I won’t be so bored anymore LOL.
Anyways, I wanted to share with y’all how I got to make my own candle the other weekend for my sister’s birthday. I’ve only done it once before few years ago but it was a cool and fun experience to do again. We went to The Candle Pour in Hyde Park Village, brought wine and then went to Bartaco for dinner.
Basically, you chose out ten scents that you liked on a list and around the room, once done you pass the list to one of the employees and they match up few scents that would mesh well together. Once you pick a set, you pour into a little dispenser and you can keep smelling as you go along. Once done, you pour into your glass and then you’re done!
Super easy and fun. I recommend doing it for you and some friends if you ever get the chance to do it. They also had a few choices of candle sizes from regular to big huge one which of course my sister got but it was her birthday so each their own. I did champagne, apple and English ivy. It’s fresh, clean and smells like something super basic which I have nooo prob with 😉
Anywho, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay cool in this heat!! xoxo
